There is no better experience than celebrating your birthday at the Disney World Resort or a Disneyland Resort theme park especially when it’s free.
Disney has adopted a new marketing strategy starting on January 1st, 2009 that is focused on the question “What will you celebrate”. With this program you can have your special birthday celebration at Disney for free. During the year 2009 your birthday celebration will include a free theme park ticket on your birthday. Free Disney Vacations have never been so much fun.
If you visit the Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort theme park on your birthday during 2009 as a part of the free Disney vacations program you will get one free entry. This free entry offer is available only on your actual birthday. To take advantage of the free admission into one of the Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme parks on your birthday in 2009, you will have to produce a valid proof of identity and a proof of your date of birth. You have the option to upgrade this free ticket on your birthday to a ticket providing some extras, but the difference in the cost will have to be weighed by you.
It should be noted that there will be no cash refunds or credits given back to those guests who already hold a valid annual pass or multi-day ticket and use it on their birthday. This is especially applicable to those passes and tickets included in some vacation packages and some free Disney vacations packages. Instead, guests can choose from several other birthday treats, like:
• You can get a birthday fun card with a value equal to the price of a base ticket for one day/one park. You can use it on your birthday for shopping and recreational or other fun activities at selected locations.
• If you want to visit certain attractions in the Theme Park on your birthday, you can get a special birthday Fast Pass.
• Alternatively you can get a non-upgradeable one day/one park base ticket that you can use any time before your next birthday.
Disney’s US theme parks provide Free Disney Vacations as part of their “Disney’s Armed Forces Salute” offers, which include complimentary multiday park admission for the active and retired personnel of the US military. These free Disney vacations programs are also offered to the active and retired members of the US Coast Guard and the National Guard or Reservists.
While looking for free Disney vacations, you can request a Disney vacation planning DVD that is provided by the company for free. It takes a while for it to reach you, say about a month, so be sure to order it well in advance. You can also get free customized park maps for Walt Disney World vacations. Their delivery takes about three weeks, so if you plan ahead, it will help you the most. You can, however, order a new set every six months if you need to.
You can also find lists of sweepstakes and contests with Disney prizes, which are constantly made available on the internet. These prizes include free Disney vacations in Orlando or Southern California.
When you buy a Walt Disney World 4-Day Magic Your Way Base or Hopper ticket with expiry within 14 days, you are offered a 5th day Free.
When you buy a 3-night Walt Disney Travel Company Disneyland Resort vacation package with tickets at a participating Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel, you get the 4th Night as a Free Disney vacation.
